The orders are related to hi-tech equipments and systems, the company said in a regulatory filing.
While Tata Power Company Ltd's subsidiary Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd (CGPL) has placed orders for supply of Surface Condensers, Feed Water Heaters & Deaerators for its Ultra Mega Power Plant (UMPP), HPCL Mittal Energy Ltd, Bhatinda (HMEL) has placed orders for critical reactors.

"The orders have been won against stiff international competition from Italian, Japanese & Chinese manufacturers, and will be executed by L&T's Heavy Engineering Division (HED)," the company said in a statement.
"L&T has supplied several critical reactors and high pressure heat exchangers to refinery and petrochemical majors in US, Canada, Europe and China, and has developed capabilities to design and manufacture the new generation Cr-Mo-V equipment for global markets," it added in its regulatory filing.
According to M. V. "We are expanding our manufacturing facilities at Hazira in Gujarat and setting up a new facility at Oman, to cater to the rising demand," the company statement cited him as saying.
