China Life premium income of $18.3 billion from January to April

China Life Insurance Company Limited (China Life) said Monday that the company's total premium income increased to 128 billion Yuan ($18.3 billion) in the first four months this year. In the same period of 2007 the company's premium revenue of 89.4 billion Yuan.
Measured by premium income, China Life is China's largest life insurance company, which is listed in Hong Kong and New York stock markets. Ping An Insurance (Group) Co. of China Ltd. (Ping An of China) ranks the second.
Ping An of China said Monday that its life insurance subsidiary's un-audited premium income reached 35.1 billion Yuan in the first four months. Monday Ping An of China's A-shares fell 1.32 Yuan, or 0.54 percent, to close at 60.22 Yuan.
