The South Korean government announced on Tuesday that UK retailer Tesco will be investing $100 million to set up a logistics centre in the country.

The centre is to be located in Ansung in central Korea and is expected to open in December 2010, according to the South Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy.

Approximately half of the investment is construction costs.
