U.S. Dollar Mixed, Gold Up in Europe

The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in morning European trading Monday. Gold was up.
The euro traded at $1.3452, up from $1.3447 late Friday in New York.
Other dollar rates:
_ 121.67 Japanese yen, down from 121.71
_ 1.2280 Swiss francs, up from 1.2274
_ 1.0805 Canadian dollars, up from 1.0793
The British pound traded at $1.9827, down from $1.9838.
Markets in London were closed Monday for a bank holiday.
In Zurich, gold traded at $654.50, up from $653.50.
In Hong Kong, gold closed up 95 U.S. cents at $656.20.
